The British Association for Community Child Health (BACCH) is a professional membership association and registered charity (No. 1129758). First established in 1976 as the Community Paediatric Group it became BACCH in 1992 and a registered charity in 2008. BACCH exists to promote and protect the good health of children and their families in their communities.

3. Who might we share your information with?
We will only share your information with third parties if you explicitly gave permission for this when you became a BACCH member.

If you choose to appear on an event delegate list then we will share your name, role and place of work. This list may be seen by sponsors and exhibitors attending the event.

4. Security of your personal information
We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.
Of course, data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.
You are responsible for keeping your password and user details confidential. We will not ask you for your password (except when you log in to the members’ area of the BACCH website).
5. How long do we keep hold of your information?
We will store your information in order to fulfil the purposes outlined in line with BACCH’s retention schedule (available on request). Retention is based on legal or statutory obligation to retain the data, where there is a need to retain the data to carry out the purpose or best practice.
BACCH does not retain credit card information once a transaction has been processed. (BACCH also doesn’t retain bank account/direct debit details once a member resigns.)
6. Policy amendments
We may update this privacy policy from time-to-time by posting a new version on our website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you have certain rights in regards to the data we hold about you. You can ask us to delete your personal data, change any inaccuracies, restrict what we use your personal data for or ask us to stop processing your data.
