Executive Committee

Applications are sought for the following position, to take up post immediately:

  • Assistant Convenor (2 year term was due to start Sept 2018, so will start as Assistant Convenor immediately on appointment, followed by 2 years as Convenor, starting Sept 2020)

Regional Coordinators
Coordinators are sought for the following regions, to take up post immediately and to serve for four years.

  • Northern (County Durham, Cumbria, Northumberland, Tees Valley, and Tyne and Wear)
  • Yorkshire (East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Northern Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, and West Yorkshire)

The job description for the role is:

  • To co-ordinate BACCH activities in the Region
  • To cascade information on BACCH activities to members in their Region and promote members’ tools
  • To contribute to, and encourage regional members to participate in, consultation documents
  • To liaise with the BACCH Administrator to ensure that contact details of regional membership is up to date
  • To maximise membership of BACCH through the promotion of the organisation with students, trainees and other paediatricians in the region
  • To organise at least one BACCH Regional meeting a year;
  • To attend biannual BACCH Council meetings;
  • To write a report on BACCH Activities in your region for BACCH News at least once a year.
  • To advise the Regional Paediatric Adviser on education and training for community doctors. The exact nature of this role varies from region to region – for example, it could involve being a member of the regional paediatric training committee, ensuring community paediatric representation on RITA assessments as some examples.
  • To advise the Regional Paediatric Adviser on job descriptions.
  • It is estimated that the role requires 1 hour per week (equivalent to 0.25 PA)
